Jacob Alon – Don’t Fall Asleep
Jacob Alon’s Don’t Fall Asleep is a haunting meditation on memory, loss, and the fragile space between waking and dreaming. Inspired by the story of a cousin who drowned before Alon was born, the song unfolds from a fictionalized perspective, exploring the liminal space between the living and the lost. As fate would have it, while writing the track, Alon received a message from the cousin’s brother about their tradition of picking a record to fall asleep to each night—a moment of synchronicity that shaped the song’s emotional depth.
Produced by Dan Carey, Don’t Fall Asleep is the latest glimpse into In Limerence, Alon’s debut album, arriving May 30 via Island Records.
